Over 60 mm of rainfall over the last 3 days has resulted in our Bowling Green/Lake! This has resulted in movement of the tift dwarf sprigs which will leave some bare patches on the green. New sprigs will be spread on Monday to compensate. (click for full version).

We can always fall back to rice fields!

The old bent grass was removed and new clean soil put down last week. This week the new soil was heavily fertilised and then this was rotary hoed. The green has been laser leveled. Friday the sprigs of tif dwarf started being sprayed onto the green. The sprigs are mixed with a pulpy solution so the stay attached to the soil until they strike. The spraying of the sprigs will be finished Monday. After this it is just wait and see it grow. The new grass should be well established in 6-8 weeks.
